Born and raised in the Northern United States, Jeff got his start in the aviation industry by enrolling at Western Michigan University in the Flight Technology program. He graduated with an aviation maintenance degree (Airframe & Powerplant), but always had a passion to fly. The United States Navy was calling, so he joined to sail the high seas. Earned his wings and is a proud veteran of Desert Storm. Just starting a family, he decided it was time to ground himself and accepted a position with AT&T Aviation Communications Division. He managed the sales and support personnel for all the North American based airlines and their terrestrial radio ground network.
After 8-years of mastering terrestrial based communications, he moved on to better technologies; satellite communications for aircraft was the future. He joined a small maritime company to develop and grow an aviation market segment. Having been successful at ICG in developing an aero Satcom market, the company was eventually sold to Rockwell Collins for their technology. It was time for him to move on to bigger and better things. He joined Cobham SATCOM and is responsible for Mil/Gov and UAV Sales covering the America’s. Leveraging knowledge from his prior career positions, Cobham allows him to pursue next-gen technology and business development for the Inmarsat L-Band satellite radios.
