Jeremy is the CTO at Defiant Labs, spearheading the development of state-of-the-art commercial drone technology. His background is originally in rocket engineering, having designed, built, and tested internationally award-winning hybrid rocket engines with the University of Toronto Aerospace Team (UTAT).
His work in rocket propulsion, space safety, and on-orbit servicing policies has been published in journals and conferences like the International Astronautical Congress, and led him to design enabling rocket nozzles for the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in support of Europe’s Ariane launcher program. Jeremy presently serves as UTAT’s Executive Director where his technical and administrative role involves special drone, rocket, and satellite designs, public outreach, oversight of more than 100 technical and administrative staff, and growing the team’s global portfolio of more than 60 sponsors and project collaborators worth nearly $16M.
He is a fourth-year BASc Engineering Science (Aerospace) candidate at the University of Toronto, and one of Canada’s The Next 36 highest potential young entrepreneurs.
